We're gonna look a hell of a lot different this year :whew:

Check out Jennings' timeline ... nothing but Pack fans kissing ass and apologizing for cursing him out last night just thirsty to get a reply from him. I don't care, if I were in Lambeau next year for the first game vs. Minny, he'd get louuuuud boos from me :manny:

fukk Minnesota :pacspit:

41st was the worsest turf on the earth...
Losing Greg would suck more if I didn't know that he's been wanting to leave for a long time. The fact that it's Minnesot and the main reason he wanted to leave was the cold weather he's been in his whole life is hysterical to me. :pachaha:

Cant lie I was pissed about gettin Jackson. The fact that the Packers always act like there in it for free agents is what pisses me off. Besides the draft Ted Thompson is fukkin trollin in the offseason.

Hawk just restructured (read: took a pay cut)...and he's played pretty damn good the past 2+ years. CW21 is one of my favorite players ever, but you're really gonna argue that we shoulda kept him at his salary? It's pretty obvious that he's in the decline of his career. One thing TT is good at is cutting aging/older players loose at the right time. I'll agree on Cullen though, as he (TT) underestimated A. how much he had left, and B. the effect he had on our D.

Jennings was never coming back. He made it clear going all the way back to the season, and even at his presser yesterday he said: "I was looking for a change". He saw all the young, hungry blood that we have at WR, and knew he wasn't gonna be "THE GUY" every week. When you're turning down $10m/yr to stay, then it's clear what his intentions were. Good luck to him.

Finley, well, he's a big, giant lightning rod. All the talent in the world, seems like he has the desire to excel, just can't seem to bring it all together. I think TT is terrified that if/when he does leave here, he'll morph into what he has the potential to be. Even then, I'll guarantee that if Jennings had come back, Finley would be looking for a job right now.

And last, sometimes I don't understand our fan base. All the shyt that some of the Packer writers I follow on twitter retweet, you'd think that this is their (the fans) first time experiencing Free Agency here. Seriously, why does anyone keep expecting us to make this big splash in Free Agency? Especially with a couple of BIG contracts coming up (12, 52, 90)? If you've been here for any decent amount of time, you'd know not to expect us to do major work in Free Agency. It's not TT's way, and it's not like (even though we're currently perennial Super Bowl Contenders) ppl are fighting over the chance to come to Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Reggie was a landmark move. Woodson didn't even wanna come here. We got lucky that he had a couple down years, and we were able to outbid everyone else. This year, the only name we were linked to was Jackson. TT has liked him for a long time, so I'm not surprised he reached out. I AM surprised though, that ppl thought we would give any kind of serious money to a 30 year old RB with a lot of mileage on him. And I think it's pretty clear that his agent (same agent as Greg Jennings btw) used us to attempt to drive up the price for Atlanta, which I think didn't work all that well considering his deal.

I just wish some of our fans would realize that we're typically not gonna be big FA players. There will be a year here or there where we somehow get a big name to come here, but those are rare occurrences. Draft weekend is where TT does his damage.

:trash:

bro stop it...stop it

pretty damn good??? how??? when??? I'd love to see a highlight of hawk making a tackle before 5 yards

he's an ATROCIOUS linebacker...he's beyond garbage

Meh,he isnt great or a play maker but he isnt trash like Erick Walden. Best thing about him is he is always healthy. If he didnt take a pay cut then i'd be concerned about our GM's decision. But he did,so maybe it might ignite a fire under him and make him better ( :heh: )

Anyways,Jennings didn't want to be here so good riddance. He would just be taking up Da gawd Randall Cobb's time and the emerging of Jones. Plus he'll just get injured anyways. LOL@ him thinking playing in that dome on that shytty turf is gonna do him good. That nikka gonna have fractured feet all year long

TT didn't lowball Greg. Greg is one of TT's guys... And GJ didn't want to stay for $10 million a season.

Looking to the draft, Im sure they will draft a WR at some point. I'm concerned about the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball (DL depth and insurance for Raji/Pickett as well as a Center and LT prospect since Sherrod can't be counted on) as well as OLB help.

We might have to live another season of Jennings/McMillan on the other side of Burnett at safety.

We all know Rodgers' deal is gonna get done soon, and now it looks like CM3 will get locked up soon as well.

Green Bay Packers near deal with Clay Matthews -- sources - ESPN

When the deal for Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews gets done this offseason -- and it will -- it will come in at or north of $13 million a year in new money, according to sources.

Matthews, 26, has 42.5 sacks in his four seasons with the Packers, including 13 last season. He has 204 tackles, seven forced fumbles and four interceptions in 58 career games since being drafted 26th overall in the 2009 draft out of USC.

The Packers are also working on an extension for Aaron Rodgers, with sources saying last week the sides are closing in on a long-term deal that would make the quarterback the highest-paid player in NFL history.

Both Rodgers and the Packers are hesitant to comment on a potential extension, but leaguewide speculation is that the deal could average $25 million per year.

Both sides have been extremely careful when publicly commenting on a deal. But those familiar with the contract talks believe a deal will be completed this offseason.

Rodgers was asked about the contract talks in a radio interview Tuesday.

"We'll see what happens here. I don't have an answer for you," he told 102.9 FM in Milwaukee.

A former Super Bowl MVP, Rodgers is under contract through 2014, having signed a six-year, $65 million contract in October 2008. Rodgers' base salary in 2013 is $9.25 million, while his 2014 deal is worth $10.5 million.
