I had the same wireless router for a couple of years now, and I guess with all the stuff in the house using wi-fi, phones, video game systems, two laptops and an ipad, its starting to die. We have to unplug the router once in awhile to regain connection. So I'm gonna buy a new one, do I really need those expensive ones or will a $40.00 one do the job? I just need it for everyday internet use, and when I go online with my Playstation and Wiiu for when Smash bros comes out :myman:

Everywhere
Netgear or Linksys 600N and above.

Don't buy a $40 router unless you want to replace it in a year or two.

I have an Asus 68-RT something joint. All I know is I pay for 50 MBs and routinely get 65 mbps and have full coverage (bars) across the street and all the way into the back of the yard. And that my signal never losses.

Cons: I've been having all kind of issues when I download digital games on my Xbox one or PS4. I think something is wrong with the way I set my Network up but I'm not an IT guy but I highly recommend this wireless router. Plus to me it's semi future proof and will last for 3-5 years.

Yo as long as your wireless router supports N then you dont need to replace shyt. all the extra features are useless and are sold to people who dont know shyt bout computers.

if the router support 802.11 G and N thats all you need. N is the best frequency but older tech still uses G. Pretty much every router that supports N will support G. so yea, you prolly dont even need to replace your shyt if it supports N already

The routers posted above are useless. NO ONE has a fukking 900mbps connection . youd be able to download movies in 2 seconds. even divided by 5 (if you had 5 devices sharing) thats like 100mbps, which again, NO ONE HAS.

these are MORE than great

Linksys N600 does well and it's Dual Band. I use it for online gaming it's more than enough.

That Netgear mentioned is a lot better and I wish I got that one though.
