Help me get better at 2K brehs.

I picked this game up recently on Steam, and I have to say it is not very friendly to new players. to be clear I haven't played a basketball video game since like Live 98 or some shyt. but this game just seems to assume you've played 2k games before. there's really not much as far as a tutorial or whatever. just some videos, but they don't help much

Just upgraded to the ps4 and I feel like I gotta re-learn the game over again. Try to watch some the youtube tutorials posted in this thread. Obviously, It helps if you watch basketball and/or play it. You know what you wanna do, just gotta figure how to translate it to the game.
Usually the game goes through small quick tutorial screens as you come across shyt??? Atleast they used to.

You can just gun from 3 and ill clean the boards and dunk that shyt. i set good screens and drop dimes. ive been playing with randoms and they cant d-up or move the ball to save their lives
