I have been watching the NFL my entire life….and I have NEVER seen a player with such LIMITED experience being lauded so much.
Nevermind the fact that ANY NFL player with a minimal one-year experience level would have trouble with the verbiage, schemes, etc., of a pro team……but a QUARTERBACK? A quarterback with only THIRTEEN TOTAL starts in his career?
And THIS guy is projected over a guy like, say, DeShaun Watson, who started for FOUR YEARS and has TWO STRAIGHT YEARS of film of him clowning against Alabama – one of the best defenses of the last 10 or more years – IN a postseason/championship game?
This isn't the NBA, where a young guy can come in and get over on athleticism WHILE he's learning on the fly. You can't do that in the NFL, and ESPECIALLY not at the quarterback position.
Like seriously…..aside from “white privilege”, cause that’s the easy answer: how do they JUSTIFY with straight faces placing this dude so high in these mock drafts when he has such limited playing experience? How do you justify taking this dude with a first round pick KNOWING he likely won't be ready to start for another 2 years? So you're basically WASTING a pick on him this year....cause if he TRULY ain't ready, then why take him that high to begin with? You're saying (an NFL team) that he projects THAT much that you're willing to look past his inexperience AND wait for another two season while he matures? How does he even project so well WITH such minimal experience, like, what in the world is that BASED on?
This one has me dumbfounded, brehs……
