3. Give Brock that work with Confusion
4. Throw Butterfree in the PC Bushes

why not keep it? And are you sure level 10 is strong enough? if it dies then I will probably have to start all over agian

Lvl 14 will probably be good enough if you wanna be safe. And most bug types are horrible to keep for the long run. Butterfree would get destroyed by the Elite 4..
