Helping someone cope with depression?

Whether t be due to death, clinically, et . So say you got a loved one, teammate, friend, whatever....someone you give a damn to cheer them up or help--how you do it?

Got a female friend who just in the dumps shyt is rough

Ummmm listening to them, letting them rant.

Telling them it's temporary use another time they may have felt that way and got through it as an example.

Make them laugh, if they are the type to need to get out then take them out.

If it's situational give them advice and suggestions. Help with what I can*

If I know they aren't going to do anything drastic I give them space and just am there when they call.

Depression doesn't automatically mean suicide. Also many great minds who contributed to society struggled with depression and mental illness . People who offered things that would be missed.
