There was a lil tension between Heltah Skeltah and Da Beatminerz, even going back to Nocturnal. HS were openly critical of their sound, openly referring to them as the "Sweetminerz" on a few interviews cuz of how sensitive they said they were to criticism during recording sessions.

Sucks for us as fans tho. BCC is my favorite crew of all time and Da Beatminerz are my favorite producers because of those early BCC classics. My favorite Heltah Skeltah song by far is "Da Wiggy", which was a Beatminerz track.

BCC's biggest mistake was abandoning Beatminerz production after Da Storm.

Magnum Force had a forced West Coast vibe and sound due to Priority Records pushing that on them after signing a distribution deal with Duck Down. There were also a few unreleased cuts that didnt make that album that would have bolstered it.

I thought they went out west cuz of the issues with Biggie...nobody in NY was fukkn with them..

such a dope album. gets over looked because nocturnal is a classic people were expecting more on the follow up. to me this is a personal classic. Sean Ps coming out party. These dudes both murdered it

Nah. The Biggie incident was waaaay overblown. It wasnt even Biggie, it was some cats in Junior Mafia and his entourage vs OGC, specifically Starang. Tek was very good friends with Big and JM up until Big's death. The west coast shyt was cuz Priority's main focus around that time was Ice Cube, Master P, and a gang of other west coast acts, and they felt pushing that sound on BCC would garner a wider fan base and more sales. Obviously didnt work out that way. The Pac and BCC union had nothing to do with Big either.

I loved the album and still remember the day I bought it. Strangely, my favorite song on it is "gang's all here". It's a 9 minutes posse cut produced by Smoke including all of the Boot Camp members. Smoke was always supplying heat for albums and I don't know what happened to him. He had a dope track on the Representatives album. I really didn't like that whole project though.

To me this album marked the end of the Boot Camp era that I loved. A personal classic for me but just a notch below Nocturnal.

You can tell they stepped it up lyrically on this one. On another note, Rustee Juxx might have the best verse on the title track. :wow:

The track with the Outlawz is probably the only track I can't stand is an automatic skip. Also, I wonder why they decided to not put to the dirty version of Black Fonzerelliz on the album? :jbhmm:
