Basically, not a bad move by Microsoft at all. Over 2 years those production costs will go down and gamers will have their game console on Day 1 without having to shell out $530-$550 or so depending on where they live @ launch for each system.

I think SONY is going to have to do the same subsidized pricing model, hell I might "jump in" and go subsidized for both if thats the case...$600 up front instead of $1,100+ with games sounds like a good option to me

I think PS+ is worth it and I will just give my xbl gold account to my cousin. I have had so many xbl gold accounts at this point I've lost count and remember none of the gamertags

I just won't do contracts with cell phone providers because of how grimey they are

Mmm-hmm. Sony really wants to make "PlayStation Plus" a big part of the PlayStation 4 experience. So they will definitely beef-up "PlayStation Plus" by adding Gaikai Streaming, advanced Share Button options, Cross-Game Party Chat (Party chat is free on the PS Vita, so it can go either way), & etc.

The first three gears of war games each outsold god of war 3. And the most recent gears of war game, is selling better than ascension.

I wonder if they mean online only in Diablo 3 terms where people who didn't have an internet connection couldn't play the game at all. That would really be bad for business. I just hope they release some games instead of trying to push the Kinect motion sensor nonsense around.

Also Uncharted is neck and neck with Gears. The myth that Xbox games sell more has to be demystified. Multiplats sell more because Americans watch tooo much tv and the commercials are biased.

Those games sold millions too. Variety and has a sizable community is something PS exclusives almost always garner. The playstation allstars sold close to a million too rivaling the OG 64 smash bros.
