Exactly my point here. I can see WHY people would say that he's being "racist", I just think that way of judging whether someone is a racist or not is extremely short-sighted and reactionary. But Punk's tactlessness isn't exactly going to get people to change their opinions any time soon.

Whatever, I don't see people on this board changing their ideas on Punk any time soon and Punk's not going to be any less of a tactless jackass. I still like watching him, I'm just not sure I'd actually want to be around him.

Think about it. How far away are we from the good ol' boy wrasslin' era, really? When Dusty Rhodes was making his last run through WCW, he was telling bookers that he would "be their black man." That was what? Late 80s to mid 90s? Between Dusty, ECW's Public Enemy being an all white tag team, and Super Cena co-opting the role of street-wise hero, just how much do you think has changed in the business?
