Bill's sounding a bit haggard there. He shouldn't be campaigning. His heart can be like, "Nope", any day now.
The Clintons don't like Obama. This has been blatantly obvious since late 2007. The race baiting primary, the ho-hum support in the general, the slightly off the reservation comments when Secretary of State("I'm inclined to support keystone"), comments immediately following her departure from the administration("'Don't do stupid stuff' isn't a guiding principle"), etc. Even back last spring it was all about "I'm not running for Obama's third term," and op-eds on how she'd be better for Israel.
They hugged him as a way to portray Sanders as being disrespectful and underwrite him as racist. This was very obvious at the time. Now that they're moving to whiter and browner states where Obama's name isn't as golden and looking toward a general campaign that will be aimed at soccer moms and David brooks. No need to play anymore
