I can't remember who it was but there was somebody who said that they would prefer Hollywood not to place black people in movies because many times the roles that blacks play in Hollywood films are degrading. And I agree. It would be a whole lot better if Hollywood didn't cast blacks in their movies.

But many american negroes would do anything for money. :yeshrug: So Hollywood would never run out of c00ns to put in their movies.

What independent black films do you recommend? If I'm not interested in it then of course I'm not going to support it. I'm not going to automatically support something with my money just because it's created by a black person.
Here's a site to get the latest info on films involving black actors and directors http://blogs.indiewire.com/shadowandact/

Here's a couple of recommendations, not all of these are entirely independent :manny:
Welcome to Pine Hill
American Promise
Blue Caprice
Faroeste Caboclo
Newlyweeds
Una Noche
Dear White People
An Oversimplification of her Beauty
A Spell to Ward of the Darkness
Mumia: Long Distance Revolutionary
Gimme the Loot
Half Of A Yellow Sun
Free Angela and All Political Prisoners

The Afronauts
