Lebron is a smart player. He conserves his energy because he’s pretty much had to do everything. Put him on a team with others he can rely on, he’ll be fine. SAme with CP3 to an extent.
We’ll see with Ayton. I think he’ll be fine. Not Great, but fine. Have if Defense is effort and he doesn’t appear to be a sloach.
U of A had Ayton playing on the perimeter at PF.Ristic was handling Center/big man duties.
Ayton's not bad at all in man to man.He has quick feet and can stay in front of you, it's just his spatial awareness.
Knowing when it's time to switch/rotate on D is his problem.That can probably get better with experience, tho.
He started off as a soccer player and barely started playing basketball 6-7 years ago.He has the tools to dominate.
I'm not worried about his defense right now.If we're having this same conversation 4-5 yrs from now, I'll be ready to write him off
