It's what I expected.

That said, that's a fraction of their team.
1000 people work there, 500+ people work some kind of STEM and I'm guessing many remote.
OpenAI got Black folks working engineering there. You can check the LinkedIn.

I'm also pretty sure they got one or two highly annoying Seattle Seahawks fans either from India or Indian American.
Nearly every moderately-sized tech company got one or two.

I agree I would also add Javascript along with Python, as the modern web requires it.

JS/Node is basically everywhere, even outside the web.

Javascript is a beast, if you know js you are basically sold on a job in software def or malware engineer.

How difficult is Python compared to Java?

Python is easier to learn and code than Java.

If you come from a "semicolon separator" language like Java, C++, C#, JavaScript...
getting used to the "White Space" and Tab formatting can be a pain.

I learned Basic, then C++, then JavaScript & PHP, then finally Python (also Learned Swift and Dart).

The lack of semicolons bothered me at first, but you get used to it.
