They be eating good playing that "We cant survive without tips:mjcry:" card....My 18 year old niece average about 13$ a hour on a a regular night with tips included she said, about 16$ on weekends at her job....and she just a greeter and not a waitress,so she just gets a cut of the tips, but not what the waitresses actually make:dead:...Not everybody works at a diner in the middle of nowhere like society would have you think....From now on I need to know what they make a hour before I tip 15%:mjlol:
:mjlol: "Bill please."
*brings bill over*
"here you go sir"
"how much you makin?"
"fifteen dol-"
"stfu. Here's 100. Gimme ALL the change"
*scribbles #HOH on the receipt*

I can't watch House Hunters no more breh. :to:

Yeah I lived overseas and my coworker was chosen for the international show. The producers told my colleague and spouse to move all their stuff out of their place (stored in the building's cellar) and fake home tours. The faux drama such as "Oh my God you have to buy the kitchen sink and light fixtures" is staged as well. My heart sank after learning this. Basically the places the folks "find" have been rented/sold at least 6 months prior to tv appearance. Tell-LIES-Vision

Yeah man most of the people that win shyt on game shows never even get to keep it because of the taxes, the cars actually get donated by whoever the maker is but the winner is responsible for all taxes involved plus gift tax which on average is usually over 5gs or so plus you have to pay for the shipping of the car to wherever you stay. Same with that one show where they were building people houses and stuff, they were getting taxed based on the value of the new home and a lot couldn't afford the utilities and so forth.
I would love to be on a game show just for the experience. But winning big money would be nice too.

Gift tax only applies when one person donates property to another person. And the person donating pays the gift tax, not the recipient. www.irs.gov
As for other taxes, you would have to pay sales tax when registering the car and possibly property tax to your state/city depending on where you live. The income tax would be applied when you fill out your income tax form, or you could pay the tax on the winnings earlier through an estimated tax payment. Delivery costs might be the only out of pocket expense you would have to incur before getting the vehicle.

Older NYC heads might know about this. One time a radio station (I think Hot 97 or WBLS) did a contest to win 2 cars. I want to say they were Navigators. I remember the hosts talking about what to do if win. The female brought up how you would pay for two new cars? The male host said something to the effect of "If I won, I'm selling one to pay for the other." As a kid, I didn't know what he was talking about. I was like "if you win, you got two cars. Why would I sell one? I didn't even think that he may have meant "sell one to pay for the other" as in keep one of the vehicles. This is a trip.

Does anyone know how much they tax people on Deal or No Deal? I know they used to have the million dollar prize but the reruns steadily show 500K.

I remember car where they installed a fukking fire place.:heh: Use to love this show as a kid but some of the shyt they would put in the whips were just straight goofy. Also many of those things would've gotten stolen(especially monitors, consoles, etc). Yea this show definitely was fake.
