Ain't nothing worse than turning on your ps4 after days of not playing to realize your controller doesn't have a charge, and that little as USB cord ain't gonna stretch accross my living room :beli: Why can't they give you a longer cable?
sucks don't it. I use my Xbox One controller cable that came with the play and charge controller for both the Xbox One and PS4 controllers. its a 9 foot cable.
also got one of these for the bed room

I got this with a second controller on deck, so I can swap.

However the DS4's battery life is trash and you shouldn't have to do this.

But it did solve the issue for me. i swap every time I get a battery warning.

I'm with you on this. I definitely grew up on Sega & lost my passion for gaming once they stopped making consoles. I have all of their consoles & handhelds to this day. I'm still waiting for Shenmue III even though we more than likely won't ever get it.

shenmue 3 with yu suzuki on board -my gaming wet dream:ahh:

:camby: thats a real wack ass reason to lose interest in games. gameplay/stories have always been integral parts to games. And if you dont like cut scenes, you can just skip them...

I don't really think they have been though... what was the story in Mario games? Sonic games? Streets of Rage series? I never cared about the story in these games but they were incredible games because the gameplay was fantastic.

to me it's a combination of not really liking the direction gaming has taken (catering to the lowest common denominator), and just getting older and having less free time. for me my classic era, is 2004 - 2007, right about the time san andreas & re4 dropped. beyond that time, i've played some dope games, but none that have left an impression on me.

Remember when you could turn a game on and within a few minutes be playing the game? Now every game that comes out seems like you have to watch a 10 minute video or some extended cut-scene bullshyt constantly. I want to PLAY games, not watch them. If I wanted to watch something, I'd put a movie on. I'm really not that interested in stories, I want enjoyable gameplay. Is anyone else with me?
Get a Wii U. You won't be disappointed.

Stand by mode for charging breski. I plug my controller up every time I turn off the console.

Have you ever played Final Fantasy games?? Chrono Trigger? Earth Bound? Tales of games?

You're naming platformers and beat em ups as if they were the only games back then that existed. Story was equally as important in those games, you just letting nostalgia blocking you. If you can honestly say you didn't care about the story or characters in Final Fantasy VII, you're crazy.

I can name 10 games off the top that are modern that are just as good as the "good ole' days" that don't feature none of the "story crap" that you guys seem to suddenly not like anymore.

No, I never really did get into those types of games back then. Like I said, I've never really been the type of person that's interested in a story while playing a game. I can't think of many games I have played through that I really enjoyed the story. Maybe I'm limited in the types of games I enjoy but I recently picked up The Puppeteer because I heard it was a good platformer. And it is, but even that game has a ton of uninteresting cut scenes, I skip them all the time but it's just annoying to me that I have to go through that process. I almost wish there was a "gameplay mode" where I could skip cutscenes automatically.
