Herm was 26-20 at ASU. 17-14 in a very weak Pac-12 conference. ASU was under investigation for recruiting violations, lost many of his coaching staff because of the violations and lost their all American linebacker and starting QB to the transfer portal. He should have been fired a year ago and was just coaching because of his friendship with the AD.

Holy shyt?

This ain't new. Everyone knew it was Kevin Mawae who leaked the hosting recruits during COVID when he didn't get bumped up to OC/O-line coach. He resigned and that's when all the news started popping. Even had Keyshawn calling him out on it on morning talk on E!spn

Did he deserve to have a gig? Hell nah. Those who know, knew this was gonna be a disaster. My issue is the treatment of Black coaches by media and fans (Coli is good for this). Frost can cheat on his spouse, Herman can fukk a prominent boosters wife, and that shyt don't get nary a word even when they have sources. Herm, Strong, Taggart, Jimmy Lake, etc...all these brothas got fired and info starts leaking like shyt at their first slip up. Mf's turned into William Felt in order to get some type of news that's not flattering about a Black coach they really want outta there

Again, Frost had the SAME EXACT shyt levied against him and media and fans continued to wave the pom-poms for that guy until it was evident he was not cut out for the job. He got 5 years to fukk up. I remember cacs in Tallahassee sounding like they couldn't wait to get on the radio Monday after Willie's second game vs. Samford to share their "the job may be too big for him takes", while having knowledge about budget cuts behind the scenes and not offering that up in their critiques.

School me.
He was a disaster? You'd think a pro coach going to college would be a homerun

You'd think! But while the game is technically the same. There are some differences that make the NFL play much faster.

Plus, most NFL coaches ain't putting up with the rigors of recruiting. It's a highly demanding job that you have to love to be successful

You aren't wrong. My wife, brother-in-law and father-in-law all went there so I'm well aware in all things ASU. They are such failures when it comes to their athletics as a whole. Have one of the biggest campuses in the country with close proximity to California and Texas and still be mediocre in all sports.

It's top tier. I don't think I would have graduated had I gone to school there. It's just women and sun and pools.

If you ever need to get away from the cold climate up north I recommend going to Scottsdale and catching a game in October when it's still high 80's there and hitting up Mill Ave before or after a game.
