Doctors don't even test for HSV-1 because it's so common and 25% of the general population has HSV-2 regardless of promiscuity.

There are like 5 different viruses and even protozoans which STD tests DO NOT COVER and there is no cure for - Your immune system clears it up on it's own unless you're unlucky and get like the photos you see on the internet which are immunocomprimised individuals.
