(Though I did have a female cousin who finally helped me when I stopped getting in the pool with them, lol. She's much taller than me so we started in the middle of the pool with a back float/paddle. She never let me go until I felt sure. Fam still busted a gut laughing at me once I learned though - I'd swim so, so hard and had barely moved !)
