Peterson wasn't the reason the Vikings lost. The Seahawks were in the backfield in a split second many times that game and he had NOWHERE to go most of the time.

Yes, Teddy was facing some heavy pressure at time as well, but Teddy Checkdown holds onto the ball WAYYYYYYY too long, and has the entire season. He takes too many sacks that he can avoid, yet many of you want to act like it's just his offensive-line. He's far more at fault than Peterson.

TYRONE GA!
i feel like this thread is giving a pass to teddy "checkdown is my first and only read" bridgewater. he was hot garbage yesterday, always making the safe play and that's generally what he always does. y'all try shytting, unrighteously, on alex smith all the time yet teddy pulls the same bullshyt all the time. how do you finish with only 14 TDs in today's league while starting every game? how do you not get a TD per game in today's league. :martin:

Seattle's secondary >>>>> Minny's receivers. Their best WR is a rookie breh. You not beating Seattle's D with your best receiving threat being a rookie.

Problem is he might have the worst pass blocking offensive line in football...AND zimmer is one of them old school super conservative coaches who is always going to play the field position and TOP game...

I expect them to do it even more since they won the division and it took divine intervention for them to not beat Seattle...even with the goat qb whisperer norv turner Teddy is never going to get to run a spread it out and throw it offense until AP is gone...and Teddy will be gone before AP...he will end up in Phoenix or Sand Diego in a few years and ball out leaving vikings fans like :martin:...which is the typical way vikings fans look

Since when do you need to run a spread out, Air Raid system to average 1 TD per game? Teddy is just a very, very flawed QB. Something about him physically is off-putting fam... he passes the eye test in a barely-at-best fashion. DCs sure as hell don't fear him.

Even 2nd year Mark Sanchez threw 17 TDs running an offense ripped straight from the most conservative offensive teams of the 1980s. He needs to improve like a mofo individually this off-season.

He kind of needs time to throw the ball first...which is something he doesn't get a lot of. And just the way they run that offense seems very conservative to me. Never see any double moves out of the receivers...never see any crossing routes out of them...almost nothing vertically down the field which is strange since they got mike wallace...

I will reserve my judgement for Teddy until after I can see him not get sacked or have to bail out the pocket while still looking at his first read...feel free to ship him down to the swagboyz if you feel like he a problem...we can give him plenty of time to throw the ball

Is it because he gets heat in his face within a second of receiving the snap, or because he's reading too slowly & not getting the ball out?

If it's #1 (and I don't lean towards 1) that's one thing. If it's #2 (which I think it is) and you're still hell bent on absolving Teddy, now you need a system with more max-protect schemes, which while giving the QB extra protection, now reduces his downfield threats. If he can't learn how to speed up his reads so he can make chicken salad from chicken-shyt, as every QB in the free agency era has to, he won't be long for this league as a starter.

And of course there's always the question of "Is he setting his protection properly pre-snap?" If his flaws continue he'll wash out much the same as Mark Sanchez... I'm seeing familiar deficiencies (and a deer in headlights look) between them.

I think it is clearly number 1. And like I keep saying, I think they run a very conservative offense which is not doing him any favors. I think they run the "lets throw it JUST ENOUGH to keep teams from putting 11 in the box" against AP offense....

How the fukk you gonna go through reads and constantly look downfield when you have no time to throw the ball?

I mean shyt did people watch any Vikings games this year? Go watch the All-22 each week and you'll see how awful our line is at protection

Even after we switched to shorter drop backs and quicker passes the o-line couldn't even block long enough to do that smh. It's a miracle Teddy survived behind that line
