Deterrence(arming faculty), in my opinion isn’t as bad an idea as it’s being made out to be.

how Black and Brown children benefit from arming faculty?

have black and brown children benefitted at all from increased security/ law enforecent presence in public schools?


is it your opinion that giving teachers all over the country de facto "stand your ground/ i was in fear for my life!" [like police officers] is going to work out to the benefit of black and brown children?

is it an acceptable tradeoff to feed more black children into the school to prison pipeline so some white "law abiding gun owners arent inconvenienced? or cant own a gun that they acknolwedge isnt so much for self defense as its just "fun to shoot"?

we have seen how age is thrown away when trying someone as an adult intersects with race.
15 year old minority is tried as an adult.

what happens when that person tells an officer that they are carrying a gun?

i grew up in the bronx.
i remember the 80's vividly.
violence was not uncommon.

i personally witnessed:

one drive by while going to get pizza with my cousin who was visiting from upstate.
a shoot out in front of my grandmas apt. as i watched from her window and my parents pulled me away.

people can be fukking crazy.
