I said she was right... arming teachers is bad idea. What are you guys going on about?
I’ll roll with it tho...
1. “Capable and qualified” doesn’t mean arm teachers. Could be security.
You argue it won’t help having more officers on campus, cause basically they suck/aren’t trained for this. Yet these horrific events don’t end until armed officers arrive... how’s that work?
2. Inner city schools have had officers and metal detectors for a while now, and when I was in grade school(well over a decade now)guns on campus were common. What do you mean we shouldn’t subject kids to this? Do you mean white kids?
3. Deterrence > Regulation in these instances means we accept that the guns are already out there and that if they weren’t, the parents of these children are law abiding and will pass expanded background checks anyway.
Guns on site may give pause and if it doesn’t there is someone on campus to respond in the exact manner in which police are called to respond.
4. If you push Trump and Republicans to push a button on this issue do you really think it’s gonna be a rifle ban or background check?
It’s gonna be armed teachers... liberal whining screws us again.
You are better off waiting til a nazi isn’t in control.
5. Theses are babies, how much of their childhood are we supposed to snatch?
That emotion.
My answer is, enough to keep them alive.
Other countries have successfully used gun buyback programs to reduce the number of guns out there so no, we don't have to accept the fact that the guns are already out there. You knew that though because I've explained it already.
Right: We can't do anything about gun violence. It's hopeless!
Left: Actually America is the only first world country with this type of gun violence and we can implement policies that other countries have used to successfully reduce gun violence.
Right: gun violence would still occur though so there's no point trying! You can't fix it completely!
Left: well there's usually never a perfect solution but the point is to reduce gun violence, as we've been saying the whole time. We're not arguing to completely eliminate it. That's not how the world works.
Right: but now is not the right time! Let's just wait until your so called "good" ones are back in power! Stop whining!
Left: there's never a right time if you keep finding reasons to argue against progress. That's easy to do. Putting pressure on politicians can result in positive changes, even if bad changes are being floated around. Florida has already made some changes even though they're not perfect.
Right: Blah, blah, blah! Freedom!
Left: this shyt again huh?
