Don't think by buying a car u can escape either...those bridge tolls are even worse!

Unless you gotta drive to and from Staten Island, most of the other four boroughs can be traveled by car without paying tolls.

For example, if someone lived in Queens and they gotta go the BX, 59th Street Bridge - FDR - Wills Ave Bridge to The Bronx and its free

Don't have to pay those tolls on the Triborough, Whitestone, Thoggs Neck, etc.

Transit is still cheaper than a car breh, especially when you add up, gas, insurance, maintenance costs, etc

This is just a expansive ass city to live in

Well I live in S.I so anytime I leave the island I gotta fukking pay these a$$hole. Yeah u can find ways to get around the city avoiding tolls...my point is u really cant avoid these MTA scum. So WE gotta pay more money because YOU did a poor job budgeting??

To me it's about the bigger picture of when people are gonna get tired of the bullshyt! I often wonder what is gonna be the straw that breaks the camels back and when are people gonna stand up for themselves.

I dont wanna go be that dude ranting and raving but shyt...this country is going down the toilet and these fukken people want more and more! shyt atleast legalize weed so I can get high in peace to forget all the bullshyt going on.

They need to stop with that new 4/5/6/ style train, and make a new version of the A train. Not the old ass R32 style, I mean the ones with the individuated seats. Then I'd gladly drop 3$ a day.

I remember at a hearing about a previous fare hike.....these MTA officials crying broke about their budget, meanwhile one of the chairman was shytted on in the press for owning porches/lambos, etc.

The last head of the MTA was some guy from the UK. He was known as a union-breaker and that is the main reason he was hired by the city. One of the reasons for this mess is because this guy wanted to make our system like the one he previously ran in London. When he realized he didnt have the money to spend for the changes he bounced.

There are so many other reasons we are gonna end up paying the price. Management is terrible (none of their projects are ever finished on time), the Port Authority that oversees the bridges/tunnels owns a lot of real estate that isnt even being used, etc.

The people in charge are fukking idiots and way out of touch with the everyday average NYker.

Good points breh.....im from the island so I know what you mean. One of the problems with Staten Island being singled out.....is that when they have the public hearings here, we arent informed of them....and when we are very few people show up.

People don't show up to those meetings because the spirit of the people is broken breh. I know most nikkas on this board are fukking the finest of hoes and pulling over 100k a year, but for us normal folks who gotta work for ours the last thing u wanna do with what little free time u have is sit in some public hearing (especially when they are gonna do what they do anyways).

It's fukked up bc MTA/Port Authority know they can do whatever they want...people are gonna bytch and moan but at the end of the day they are coming off that bread.

It's not just NYC either it's this whole country breh, IM bout to just move to Amsterdam and ride a bicycle

Those trains are straight up depressing to be on...I really hate and avoid that line. But ya trains do moving fast.

Forget about the parking you can't even move your car from A to B. It took me over an hour to get from the UWS to Gramercy on Sunday. 4.5 miles. Precious could have walked that shyt faster than I drove it
