Hey, remember when y'all said To Pimp a Butterfly, "didn't have any singles"?

Drake Is The World’s Most Streamed Artist on Spotify for 2015

Most Streamed Album of 2015: The Weeknd – Beauty Behind The Madness

The Weeknd’s 60 million listeners made Beauty Behind The Madness the most streamed album of the year. Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late comes in at #2.

“It’s been an insane year working with some really talented people. Thank you to the fans on Spotify for making Beauty Behind the Madness the most streamed album of 2015”, said The Weeknd.

Most Streamed Artist of 2015: Drake

Drake is the world’s most streamed artist of 2015 with over 1.8 billion streams this year and 46 million listeners, beating Ed Sheeran, last year’s most streamed artist.

You are so off base and you are bringing in another topic that has been touched on numerous times by posters like @SirBiatch @bigbadbossup2012 and others that Kendrick popularity in the real world does not match his numbers

and this is why duckworths are so pathetic. They're so desperate for popularity yet they wanna hate on people who actually are. It's the weirdest thing to me.

If you're so sure that Kendrick is a genius and has made life-lasting music, who gives a fukk how many streams he has? or what he sells or whether the Grammys like him? I thought this was about the music :sas2: The overconcern for Kendrick's accolades reeks of insecurity and fakeness. It reminds me of a struggling pop act that wants to be taken seriously but hasn't made the music to back it up and refuses to do the hard work required.

Nas is not the most popular rapper ever but his music speaks for itself. I've never cared how much he sold, whether he has Grammys or not, whether Rolling Stone likes him or not.... shyt's irrelevant.

anyway, back to regularly scheduled programming

Dude has a fan base that buy albums in this day and age. They determine how long you last in the rap game. Especially since he got famous since 2012 and is still going strong.
Did you just copy and paste this from one of your million of other nonsensical ramblings.

I asked you does Kendrick do big shows?

You said Kendrick was the most streamed artist in 2015

I posted Spotify 2015 stream data and Billboard's current top streamed hiphop songs.

Kendrick is nowhere to be found on any list:francis:

I might've been off, but his album broke Spotify streaming record when it first came out.

Spotify's business jumped tremendously last year b/c it's basic service became free, so of course "free" means more young ppl(with no money, credit cards) listening, and young ppl gravitate to pop music....ie Drake/Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, etc.

Kendrick has big shows?

Yes and he also does big festivals like this one coming up Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival and Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park

If you don't like the guy why pretend that you know all about him? You are acting as if you know what shows he does and doesn't do while at the same time making it clear you don't like him?

He went near plat last year and didn't have a big tour behind the album. You can you say that for any rapper/artist in music history?

He announced in like September he was doing some 8 city intimate tour:what:

Where is the stadium tour For Kendrick? Nicki is doing stadiums, Cole is doing stadiums?

Y'all told me he was bigger than them because he had 2 albums go plat.

Well, he does festivals in and out of America.

Everyone does festivals and the tickets sales dont go down if Kendrick is not on the ticket.

Festivals are also product of labels connections and the machine
Because when you using that as your sole argument on if a song is successful you're going to look stupid

Who does this?

None of the singles cracked top 40. None are hits. Just the facts.

I've seen several posters as @jadillac state Kendrick had no singles that could be successful simply because they were not club songs

Some terrible songs fam. God. Some exceptions though. I'm glad he doesn't make music like this. There'd be a huge hole in Hip Hop if not for him.

his songs are not on the radio like that xm is more niche playlist of course they are gonna play kendrick. they probably play anybody on their stations more than on regular radio.

and releasing a video for a song doesn't actually make it a single. sometimes is just promotion for the album. a couple of the songs that videos were made for werent on the radio at all.

so ya the general consensus is the reception for this album was pretty mild outside of white hipsters who need to have a proud black rapper in their rotation for street cred
