We need that game 7- loser go home match before things get crackin'. Get a little tournament feel in cause game sevens are hard to come by these days. Doesn't baseball have two play in games after a 182 game season?

I'm sure if MLB allowed 16 teams in the playoffs, they wouldn't do a play in game (even as currently constructed, who said it's a good idea?)
the only way I say they should have a play in game is if 2 teams end up with identical records and they split their regular season games vs each other. instead of going to division or conference records. let them play 1 neutral site game

It should be the 6 divison winners and the other two teams have to play in in a single elimination tournament. Definitely be more exciting
