Of course the Rock's every word is going to be scrutinized, he stepped away from the business for awhile, came back in the ME spot and is having verbal sparring's with the top talent (and I use that word loosely).
Why act brand new? Everyone from past era's, especially the Attitude era will be put under a microscope to see if they still got it. It shouldn't come as a surprise that someone who people loved for their mic abilities, would be held to a higher standard when it comes to promos.
Eh. At the end of the day, people are going to like who they like and one being bias shouldn't come as a shock.
As for me, I have my favorites and I make no secret about it, but even for those who I don't care for (Orton, Miz et cetera) if they do something that I find enjoyable I'll give them their props with no strings attached. *shrugs*

look and went in on vickie, you could hear the crowd respond finally like he wanted...then he called out punk and didnt have anything to say really...still got a week until the rumble, hopefully we get 20 minutes of them going back and forth cause, all thought it's 99% clear punk is losing the belt, nothing beats that 1% of doubt...wwe has to help these two build up the match better because punk is looking like it's 09 and he has a chip on his shoulder while the rock is on cruise control. I understand the feeling punk has been doing that the entire year, which i agree, but it's the road to wrestlemania and if you can't step it up for mania then the entire year was worth nothing

U gotta understand something..theyre trailer park trash. Double talkers. Bandwagon nyggas at best. Lowest form going. They didnt pay attention to one CM Punk feud until now. They disregard the big talk and low turn outs for those "pipe bombs:...they disregard him not allowed in the spotlight until the Rock's path was clear last July.
CM Punk's promos are basically a 35 year old man pleading and crying every week. Thats the totality of what he's done and it doesnt make money. Cats listening to Frank Ocean and Rick Ross talking about "corny"?

It was fake when he got ethered by Eve and every big talker here went underground just like they did when MVP had that losing streak and when Miz got pushed ahead of Metro and he was exposed for letting Mike Knox dab in his skank's coochie like a bonafide sissy. Alot of nyggas were hard to find at that juncture.
They RAN to make a thread after Raw. Why? Because its real to their insignificant minds. They forgetting about those real rating lows that was brought in pre Rock and whenever Rock isnt around. Legit facts. Not a false perception of a "good" promo by those who think Ziggler is any good

but when their favorites gets outworked in those fields, then its about ratings/money
and when one of their favorites, maybe miz let's say...gets no showed by the entire crowd when one of the goats gave him his finisher to apply during a segment dedicated to him essentially, they dont exist no more
like i said, everyone critiquing rock pretty much agrees, what he said about vickie was hilarious...but from a storyline stand point, he just hasn't said or done anything that makes it seem like he's capable of standing toe to toe with punk on the mic, and punk has been in rare form these past weeks...

When Rock first started up we were all teenagers... shyt was funny then, it's not as funny now cause his fan base has mostly grown up

I didn't want to point out the one undeniable fact that Punk worshipers keep forgetting.. and the main reason why they even give a fukk about his promos now, because i actually like Punk myself, but it MUST be said:
Punk has The Rock to thank for his 400+ days as WWE champion, most notably the last 4-5 months. The reason why his days as champ has been built up into this "I'm the greatest of all-time" charade is so that he appears as a big enough star to even be in the same ring as The Rock in a match were it even feels remotely important, had it not been for Rock announcing he was coming back this year for the WWE title and a Wrestlemania run, the strap would've been placed on Ryback MONTHS AGO, Can you imagine if Rock said that in a shoot style promo in his face off with Punk last week?? that would've been game, set, match and Punk would've been over...but Rock ALWAYS prefers to play fair so even the unworthy can eat too, and with all that said, he's STILL hasn't gotten the superstar level reactions that you would think his current character would warrant
