Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Paul Heyman’s name not being mentioned during the WWE Draft may have been by design. They claim that Heyman’s WWE contract has expired and that both sides have not been able to reach an agreement to renew his contract.

Nothing is said to be certain at this point but with Brock’s recent suspension this could be a wait and see tactic on WWE’s part to see what kind of deal they want to make with Heyman. Other talents like Miz, Rusev and Darren Young were drafted with their respective managers or valets. It’s interesting to note that Lesnar was drafted to RAW with no mention of Heyman

They better rehire him to at least do something on the creative side with them doing the brand split and whatnot. Vince has to much pride to do that but if he really wanted his shows to be good he would let Paul at least have some type of input.

Even if Vince offered that to him, I get the impression Paul E would pass based on what he's said in interviews.
