Seen the store closing signs and decided to see what they had. Noticed they had a Samsung 4K 65" KS8000 set marked up to $2,300 , I'm looking at the salesguy like :wtf:, told him I paid $1,750 for it last year in August, same exact set. He said mgmt marked all the tv's up and then threw a 10% discount on them. He said he has been sending peeps down to Best Buy (in the same plaza) because he don't feel right fukking people over on prices. Same set at Best Buy is $1,500. I think I've only been in HH twice since we got them like 10yrs ago.

Best Buy must be doing something right, they survived a lot of electronics stores closing, and I almost never here of them closing stores.

Best Buy is by far the largest electronics retailer so they are going to be the last to close if they ever do.

I recently read that the action you're describing is common. They throw "Clearance" or "Store Closing" up and people flock to it. What they get are discounts off retail MSRP, which is sometimes higher than the item was at that store originally. Marketing bullshyt

Until you're able to virtually shop (see what you're buying by holograms and shyt ) u still need a few spots to buy electronics at brick and mortar
Places like what you describe should have old tv's, shyt you'd use to play an Nes or PsPro on :francis:

that's cause it's not HH Gregg selling those items. a liquidation firm bought the inventory and they are trying to get their money back (and some). in the first few weeks they take about 10-15% off MSRP and go from there, but there are so many stupid people that they see "going out of business sale" "everything must go" blah blah and assume they're getting a good deal when they could have bought the item cheaper at the same store just before they went bust. so the items won't sit on the shelf for months like it should and force them to offer real deals.

Breh, HH Greg prices were horrible, regardless. I will never understand how anybody would purchase anything at that store
