100% positive, I tried numerous spots, even outlets.

No one offered a 5 year warranty, removal of the old one for that price. And that was with taxes

when they started closing down stores or when they would have "sales" it was still $5-15 more expensive than Best Buy

Never understood the appeal of hhgregg. Prices were high n didn't really do anything better than the competition.

I copped a 60 inch 1080 Sharp for 750 on Black Friday in 2001 breh. Still going good for a playa.

Exactly. Horrible to buy shyt like TVs and Audio and Home Theater online without checking it out in store first.

All stores do this. Most stuff usually retails at 60% off. Then it hits clearance at like 50% or sometimes as low as 10%. Frequent shoppers already know these "scams". Not much different than the buy one get one for a penny/dollar "scams".

that's cause it's not HH Gregg selling those items. a liquidation firm bought the inventory and they are trying to get their money back (and some). in the first few weeks they take about 10-15% off MSRP and go from there, but there are so many stupid people that they see "going out of business sale" "everything must go" blah blah and assume they're getting a good deal when they could have bought the item cheaper at the same store just before they went bust. so the items won't sit on the shelf for months like it should and force them to offer real deals.

I worked at a Circuit City when they went out of business, and the same thing happened. The liquidation companies don't fukk around. As soon as they take over, shyt hits MSRP with absolutely NO discounts until they hit whatever their date is to drop prices by 10%. The crazy thing is that at the store I worked, we got MORE people in the store after the prices jumped. People really are suckers for seeing a Clearance sale.
