Good interview....he does'nt realize though, when you're constantly conveniently positioned to bury someone or put yourself over when the people really aren't calling for it (and you more or less stated that everything you do is based on how the crowd feels...) it's hard for the smarks to not point out the obvious conflicts between what you claim and what we see.

Also....THE KLIQ RUNS THE BUSINESS.

I thought it was a candid honest interview. I don't agree with what he said about Foley or the Hardcore element of wrestling because its always had its place in wrestling. There were even hardcore bloodbaths in the 80s. I believe their still trying to drift away from the Attitude Era by not giving it the credit it deserves or constantly criticizing it. But what I don't understand is why are they burying ECW but trying to sell DVDs of that same product their burying?

If and when the time is right to do a Hall of Fame, it's not just going to be a place where you walk in and say, "Oh, look, there's a pair of trunks." If we do it, it'll be an immersive experience. With technology the way it is, a 4-D experience, whether it's a ride, or, picture this: You walk into a locker room, lights go down, smoke comes out, and Andre the Giant walks out in a hologram and stands there and talks to you.

I do feel Trips has some beef with Foley, philosophy wise. Trips is a wrestlers wrestler. I do feel he has his own inner circle for his grand plan. William Regal is one of them, because of how he has trained quality products like Punk/Bryan. So while HHH wrestled Technically, Foley was a wrestler based on Entertainment. With WWE being legit in violence, I think Triple H felt like Foley shouldn't have ever gotten the title just because he was only there for Entertainment. He lucked out, because WWF was in a place where Foley was needed at a specific point. It's a hard pill for Triple H to swallow, seeing how Mick was able to grab a title; one that was held by Sammartino, Flair, Backlund, Savage, Rogers and now Mick Foley? :birdman:
i think the shyt is funny because as far as i know foley had the actual wrestling background while hhh was the damn bodybuilder

It wasn't a retraction. The way the explanation was written is that the story was accurate, just HHH forgot the name of the writer.
The story was completely and totally inaccurate. That was why I've spoken about it. I'm not mad at HHH, I expect wrestlers to lie and make up stories, but the head of a publicly traded company doing so should be treated like the head of any publicly traded company who did so, and not be fawned over because he's a TV star.
On the Grantland side, if they corrected it and said there is no evidence to anything HHH said in this story, and he either made it up or his memory is really, really bad, that would be fine. Instead, they said he was mistaken in the reporter.
Well, Bruce Mitchell never got a phone call from DDP. Bruce Mitchell never flipped (they're words on Wade Keller) from a phone call from DDP. Wade Keller didn't write anything remotely close to what HHH claimed he did.
But they put kissing up to the power broker ahead of a story that put someone's rep in their field in a bad light.
Like I've said before, there are many things he could have said about Wade Keller, Bruce Mitchell, or me, that would have been negative and fine and if it was his opinion, who cares.
But a completely made up story, that the public is led to believe is the truth that undermines the most important thing a reporter has, and the correction that only perpetuates it, that's not one of them.
