while the one thing he said about me was badly botched by attributing to me something someone else wrote.

Damn, even Wade getting at Haitch through Sin Cara. It's on now :whew:

Best and most in-depth interview about the wrestling business I've read in a long time. Props.

Maybe this will convince some doubters that the business is in good hands. Even if you don't agree with every decision he's involved in or every idea he comes up with, it's hard for anyone to criticize Triple H's dedication to and understanding of the business.

Good interview, a lot of insight on the inner workings of WWE and Triple H's passion for the business. I don't like the fact he basically killed Foley's wrestling style. Sure, Foley wasn't a guy who's matches always had great ring psychology or technical and crisp ring work, but it was a entertaining style filled unpredictable and crazy moments. Besides, his match with Foley at Royal Rumble 2000 propelled Triple H as a legitimate main eventer that fans bought into.

I've always pref Wrestling over Entertainment, but that's just me. No matter what though, I think Foley has given 3 big things for WWF/E.
  1. Allowing himself to be a ragdoll for Taker in the HIAC.
  2. Because of this the fans wanted to see him win the WWF Title. Giving him a victory over the Rock on Monday night shifted the control forever into WWF's grasp over WCW.
  3. The overall product was not what Vince wanted, but needed in order to survive. Foley would be the benchmark, taking the abuse in order for WWF's to stay alive and kill WCW. He was the enforcer of the Attitude Era.
I do agree with H's assessment. You can still have the brutal violence, without the weapons. Case in point, now in the WWE you can deliver a big message with a chairshot that tossing someone off a cell because of the PG rating. Thus you can save wear and tear on someones body, but still have that effect.

I'm with you, I just feel like Triple H used Foley as the brunt of his argument of pointless violence to the point where I felt he was belittling him as a worker to a degree.

I do feel Trips has some beef with Foley, philosophy wise. Trips is a wrestlers wrestler. I do feel he has his own inner circle for his grand plan. William Regal is one of them, because of how he has trained quality products like Punk/Bryan. So while HHH wrestled Technically, Foley was a wrestler based on Entertainment. With WWE being legit in violence, I think Triple H felt like Foley shouldn't have ever gotten the title just because he was only there for Entertainment. He lucked out, because WWF was in a place where Foley was needed at a specific point. It's a hard pill for Triple H to swallow, seeing how Mick was able to grab a title; one that was held by Sammartino, Flair, Backlund, Savage, Rogers and now Mick Foley? :birdman:

I'll never understand how a guy who really knows about "the business" has absolutely no idea how to books his character (or how he allows the amount of unnecessary protection his character has) in angles that involve him :why:

Basically said CM Punk's pipe bomb was a complete work to get your money out of you and treat you like a fukking puppet. The Foley part was funny. He's still full of bullshyt though because he's part of the problem with all of his self insertions and unwillingness to look weaker in order to progress someone else. Case in point again: The rebel...

In his defense, thats what he's supposed to do as a wrestler. Nobody is gonna volunteer to take Ls. He still a bytch tho
