And I'd say what hurt Austin's heel turn more than anything was the fact that both he and HHH got hurt early on. It was when Austin was hurt and singing songs and shyt to McMahon that the wheels came off that shyt.

Who said HHH was a career mid carder? What people are saying is that he was never on the level of Rock or Austin. HHH is the only guy alive who's had 2 Wrestlemania main event matches that NOBODY remembers.

I guarantee Hell in the Cell does no buys, just like SummerSlam this year did way worse than last year, and the last PPV did terrible too.

Which is no surprise, how can you expect to draw when you're telling the fans out the gate "This guy should not be champion, he's not good enough"

Not to mention that they've already dragged out Bryan getting the belt too long and a lot of people got burned by that last PPV and probably aren't going to buy the next because of it.

HHH was a main eventer....he just couldn't touch Rock,Austin, or Cena for certain. Austin vs McMahon as a storyline got stale but fans never got tired of wanting to cheer for him. Rock's latest run >>>>>>any Sting storyline

Also HHH, if he really meant what he said, he is just out of his mind. He's a fairly top level guy, but his face runs almost negate his heel runs. He was TRASH as a face, except when he was the clear 1B/2 to HBK and barely above the New Age Outlaws in being over in DX. Hell, even Chyna helped him get over.

It could even be argued that, in the attitude era/monday night wars, HHH was # 4 out of HBK, Hall and Nash. He was still a very good heel, but so was JBL during his run (albeit not in attitude era).

Nah man, i'm a huge Rock fan but his latest run is nowhere near as good as That "Crow" angle Sting had in WCW. That was one of the greatest storylines ever, the match it lead up to just sucked.

It really didnt. His mouthpiece and backing it up did. Dude was better than anyone at saying in various ways, "this sunday IM GONNA BEAT YOUR ASS AND THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT BECAUSE YOURE A PIECE OF TRASH" then doing it...he was the toughest of tough guys and had the face while talking unforseen shyt.

They turned bret because the fans chose austin over the hart foundation...the audience was fukking unglued at the match when owen broke his neck....he hadnt drunk beer at that point iirc.

I wasn't implying he was necessarily unliked, but he clearly has had his problems with clarity/sanity over the years.
