Keep trying to re-write history....besides, Im almost sure that the Rock left for a significant portion of time that year to film the Scorpion King...HHH was then the focal point, and business didnt drop a bit.

What are you talking about?

HHH was in no way the focal point of WWE during that time. 2000 was all about Rock and Austin and building up to their wrestlemania feud Rock was the dominant champion and Austin was out for revenge and looking reclaim the WWE title.

you're confused....austin was gone with a neck injury for pretty much the whole year of 2000. Austin was out from late 99, until nov 2000. As mentioned, the Rock left to film the Scorpion king for a few months that year....that left HHH to carry the company in feuds with Angle, Benoit, and Jericho. He was the central figure that all other characters revolved around.

Rock was there for the entire year in 2000. Austin was gone from November '99 until he had his first PPV match in October 2000 vs. Rikishi. Also, Rock main evented the majority of the PPV's in 2000, IIRC.

Rock headlined damn near every PPV that year and was champion for the vast majority of that time. Austin was making appearances during that time and later in the year had his comeback.

That year Rock was headlining PPV's with HHH, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, and Benoit. HHH was NOT the focal point at any time. Austin or Rock were always the focal point during that time.

Scorpion King didn't even come out till 2002 meaning it was filmed in 2001 which is when Rock missed significant time and so did HHH because he tore he quad that year.

I was off a lil...the movie was The mummy returns (Rock's role as scorpion king, which was expanded in the 2002 movie to a starring role) ... That came out in 2001.

That's what we were saying, he missed time after WM17 (which was in 2001) to film Scorpion king. In 2000 he missed maybe a week, but he was definitely the focal point of WWE at that time.

By the time Rock left to film Scorpion King, Austin was back on top and teaming with HHH till his quad injury. 2000 was actually also the year that saw HHH take a big step back and Kurt Angle started getting more shine.

King of the Ring 2000- Rock is in main event wins the WWF Title
Fully Loaded 2000 (July)- Rock is in main event and is the champ
Summerslam 2000- Rock is in main event and is the champ

lol...forgive me. My timeline is probably off given that we're discussing events that happened over a decade ago, but I am right that he left to film the mummy returns, and HHH was the central figure for most of that year. You cats have been making wild claims about Austin being there, and Rock not leaving at all to film a movie, which arent even close to being true.

Yeah, 2000 was really about the rise of Kurt Angle, he won all the titles that year as well as the KOTR tournament.

Nah, Austin was gone for most of 2000 because of neck surgery (he came back in Oct.). Rock was carrying the load while he was gone. Austin comes back and eventually beats Rock for the title at WM17 (2001), Rock leaves shortly after to go film Scorpion King and doesn't come back till July, IIRC.

You guys will say anything to diminish the role of HHH in the success of the summer of 2000, so there's no point here....

Dude we talking about straight up facts that can easily be looked up. Rock headlined damn near every PPV that year until Austin came back. HHH was there but he was in no way the focal point of WWE during time. I think HHH headlined ONE PPV during that year without Rock or Austin (No way out against Cactus Jack)
