Its like this...dude will forever be known as the guy that Punk rip the finisher off. The way WWE booked Hideo was kind of pathetic. They changed his name to Hideo, had him feud with the Acension to get Balor over, made him look sorry at the Andre the Giant battle royale (Thanks Big Show), and dude was more injury prone than Ahmed Johnson in his hey day. I feel bad for Kenta because he clearly is a alright wrestler, but lets face it..."he made it a hot line, Naka made it a hot song".

Sick of the KENTA slander

He was literally in NXT for like a half a year then got hurt. Yall have to learn patience in your wrestlers. Considering he doesn't have a Michael Jackson gimmick to fall back on and a "king of strong style" tagline, I get it if he needs time to adjust. Let's not pretend like its been all peaches for Shinsuke either, even Joe needed some time before he got in his groove. Hideo will be a huge boost for whichever brand gets him (I doubt he'll still be in NXT past Summerslam unless he gets hurt again)

That's the point. Dude came in vanilla as hell, instead of having some sort of presence that will catch on to the fans. The name change killed his momentum, while Nakamura came in with that swag style that fans were drawn to. It's not about patience, its about how to properly book a wrestler.

And I'm saying its gonna take time before the booking approach for a wrestler is figured out. This is what developmental is for, need you be reminded, if these guys came in totally polished without the need to feel out what their limitations and their strengths are as performers, they wouldn't be in NXT. Let's not pretend like its been all peaches for Shinsuke either, even Joe needed some time before he got in his groove.

Let Hideo wear his No Mercy gear or something similar and give dude a hip hop song for christs sake, let dude actually be the goat we know he can be.

Overall, NXT been on the decline since Dusty passed away. The reason why Naka and Joe been lukewarm is because there's no guidance with the two characters along with majority of the roster. Even Asuka getting stale because there's nobody to enhance the positives and hide the negatives. On the real, the only good things about NXT as of late is The Drifter and Authors of Pain (which I hope win the belts).
