Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
But don't we say this every year about a young upstart & more often than not this IS their best shot. Tomorrow ain't promised. A couple yrs ago we said the same thing about the Bulls & they're haven't been to the ECF since

Indy got pieces, but a core? They gotta get a superstar caliber wing player first, too many role players out there

I think the difference is Hibbert, everything is dependant on him in the future, if he moves forward with this "Get me the fukking ball" mindset then they are setup for the future.

None of the other young upstart teams had a 5 that could get you 20-10.

they said it about the "young" hawks when they took Boston to 7 games they year they won :mjpls:

Pacers like the grizzlies advanced to the conference finals because of an injury

True indeed

Full strength CHI > Indy. If Indy had a player on the wings who could dominate a game :ohlawd: Assuming Rose comes back healthy he makes them better than Indy b/c he can dominate a game. Hibberts's the closest thing Indy has to a dominating player & he doesn't play like a dominating player every game

Games set up for wing players nowadays though where u can pretty much beat the sh!t out of post players its just that the Pacers have a favorable matchup as the Heat are the smallest dominant team ever.

Imo Pacers are no better the the 3rd best team in the east going forward..the Bulls are exactly like the Pacers but with a superstar closer

True, but if you had to match up Noah vs. Hibbert for a 7 game series right now id take Noah b/c I know what he's gonna give you. I fukks with Hibbert's potential though, but I take a healthy CHI over Indy.

BTW, That would be a great series

Agreed, my only question is how much of this is him coming into his own and how much is it Miami being woefully unequipped to handle someone like him? It was just the previous series where the Knicks held him under 10 points in 3 games. :dwillhuh:

I still think a big man can be a huge difference maker, and it looks like Hibbert is starting to believe nobody can check him. He gave Tyson the blues when he wasn't in foul trouble.

Also, the Pacers are winning the close games in the crunch right now vs the Heat, and they can play & feature Hibbert in the 4th because he makes freethrows. It may be a perimeter oriented league, but 3 of the 4 final teams had frontcourts.

Yeah i dont buy Hibberts becoming a star all of a sudden after all these years.. hes simply beating a trash center situation the Heat have

The Pacers are still a stupid team at times, so a healthy Bulls squad would probably still beat them, but I think Hibbert would win the matchup with Noah.

I think he's coming into his own, he was in foul trouble in those 3 games, when he wasn't he completely dominated the matchup with another 7 footer. I think @NV-ME pointed out last night was the first time he's ever seen Hibbert demand/call for the ball, he's starting to believe that nobody can stop him :ohhh: There's literally no reason he shouldn't be getting 15-18 shots per game on the season, other than his own teams stupidity.

It's only perimeter oriented because there aren't enough quality bigs. Like you said you got 3 of the Final 4 with front courts. It's just like in the NFL when it's a passing league but teams that can run the ball and play D always seem to find there way in the Confernce Championship Games or the SB. If Hibbert plays like this consistently and George realizes his potential :whew:.

I hope so for the sake of big men but im still skeptical on Hibbert..you usually know pretty early on if a guy has franchise potential they dont wait this long to get it..

Evne the Knick thing he did it against Chandler who by all accounts was so injured he could barely play out there and hes always been overrated as a man defender anyway

Just something unseemly that this guy is the future of NBA big men and he just dropped 20 and 10 in 3 consecutive games for the first time in a 5 year career.:dahell:

From his espn.com player page
"Hibbert's been an absolute beast in the playoffs, averaging 16.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 35.9 minutes per game in 16 games."

16 and 10 for a 7 foot 280lb center is "beasting" nowadays?:merchant: Those are Carlos Boozer numbers.

What the hell happened to the NBA big man? Tim Duncan is laughing all the way to another chip.

Goatganda the pearl of Africa
Hill is backup status, nice player off the bench. I don't even think they need a great PG, just someone that can get into the lane with some regularity.

We'll see, it's anyones series right now IMO, the Heat have played like complete shyt in the clutch in game 2 and 4, they've been out executed down the stretch.

I know he plays no d but Jose Calderón would fit in nice on this roster.

My Pops Forever RIP
Paying $8 million to a 27 year old mid level guard vs a 21 year old upcoming star wingman on a rookie scale deal

Spurs won

Leonard, Granger, George, and Stephenson would have all gotten in each other's way.

Don't underestimate the significance of Granger being out offering up opportunity to George and especially Lance at SG

Pacers better keep Granger at least until the All Star Break to see how they all fit ...
