Class of "Oh-Fo", high school from '00 to '04
Didn't get a cellphone until college...Didn't need it honestly. I could get phone numbers and talk to girls at home.
For homies, they'd just come by the crib and we'd play Madden.
Throwback jerseys....man.....one breh on the football team had a throwback Barry Sanders Oklahoma State jersey
...shyt was clean as fukk with some white shoes and orange/black shoelaces. Few brehs rocked Larry Bird and MJ throwbacks. Think I had some old Negro League throwbacks.
50 Cent/G-Unit was everywhere and EVERYONE was quoting Chappelle show/Lil Jon all day in class. "What?????" "Okayyyy"
At our school, all the even years were ratchet as fukk while the odd years were preppy and chill: Class of '02, '04 and '06 stayed krunk while '01, '03 and '05 would be polite as fukk at pep rallies, dances etc. Odd years had the finest females though...
I remember when you had to be a college student to get on Facebook and needed a university email and (I think) someone already on FB to invite you. It was cool for keeping track of what everyone was doing after HS and for getting study groups together in college. All my friends liked the customization of MySpace but the "neatness" of Facebook. Plus on FB, 99% of people used their real name....easier to find folks.
It was fun but I don't miss it. Feels like sooooo damn long ago.
