Very few circumstances were this is actually true.
If your wasting your time with a single parent your not high value. The only way I could see it working if the women actually makes a significant amount to actually pay for her kids .

the most balanced non crazy thread I found was on LSA
on the subject on single moms...
like everything else on the internet people on both sides of the issue talk in absolutes and leave no gray area
there are solid single moms (with good kids)..
and there are some absolute clown shows
The way Women and children respond to a man depends on how much they respect him...
if they dont think youre a honorable man with his shyt together its not going to work
