Im not thinking about joining, I just want to know the culture.

I know(think?) that it is a subdivision of NOI. It was big in the 90's and uplifted the inner city youth. I know certain slang terms derive from it, like "word is bond".

Im 18 & Ive lived in Crown Heights all my short life until last year when I moved down to Florida, sadly.

I havent been racially aware up until recently, seeing the juxtaposition between Brooklyn & suburban America in FL.
