I think this is Spike Lee's third Asian Cinema remake and he did a remake of a greek play for Chiraq, Spike still the man though lol.

That Oscar was just pity patter for Scorsese. He has made much better films that never got the nod.

this is actually a very good movie. I saw it tonight at this old vintage theater. I had to drive an hour and a half out of town because my city doesn't show Spike Lee movies. I haven't seen a Spike Lee film in my city since Inside Man. They simply won't carry them.
