I’m 30 min in….up to the part where they got the middle eastern doorman sounding straight black…..

This might be the worst Denzel movie,
Worst Jeffery Wright flick,
Worst 24 production,
And worst Spike Lee Joint.

:francis: All with Apple money

shyt ain’t even bad enough to be ironically good.

Horrible acting by everyone not named Denzel. ‘Mayme’ might be the worst.

That long ass theme intro was insane as well

The back & forth between Rick Fox and the officers…and the officer just randomly saying Larry Bird :dahell:

Edit: just got to the Kamal poster scene…..also a Media Takeout reference :what:

I think the movie could have been so much than what it was. I think it should have focused more on satirizing the music business than it ended up doing.

Young Thug caught strays with the Young Felon character in the last act. :mjlol: As if the last two weeks hadn’t been rough enough for Thugga.

This is a weird and oddly put together movie.

The score was driving me crazy. There's music playing through scenes for no reason when it should be quiet to focus on the dialogue. The score didn't even fit the scenes.

The acting was hit or miss aside from Denzel and Jeffrey.

Things went off the rails once Rocky showed up. His character felt like he was from another universe. They didn't sell him being able to pull the kidnapping off which made the whole movie silly.

That music video towards the end was totally out of place.

All the dialogue between Rocky and Denzel was cringe worthy.

Da Black Panther of the Bronx:what:

The entire third act was a mess. Just send the cops to arrest Young Felon (stupid name). Having Denzel go after him made no sense and then they have a shootout in the studio :why:. After all that Denzel goes to visit him in jail and Felon wants him to sign him to his label :gucci:

I don't know what Spike was thinking.

Which teenage boy has a Kamala Harris poster on the wall. And why do you need to go to a black college to know the difference between Swiss and US money. I swear the pandering to black people in this movie is at retard level.

I said the same thing. Spike Lee has turned into a shill for a political party.

I was watching the Katrina hell or high water and Spike did the same pandering in the movie. It made me mad because my family is from the N.O. and spike used Black deaths to push political party agendas.

The horrific music choices
