The pic only looks weird because you're picturing it as his teammate going up for a layup. Then you wonder why tf he's just floating there in the air when the shot hasn't even been attempted yet.
When you flip the script, and realize that the team is going for a missed rebound, you realize he jumped in the air to get it but his teammate already got it so he was on his way down. The pic was taken at the legit perfect time in his landing though, to create that odd effect.
On a side note, that white boi has ups. He's on his way DOWN and still looks up there.
