Hillary has nothing that makes voters feel she's the right person to lead the country. There's no passion or ethos, or vision of the electorate she's tapping into.
Reagan was the perpetual optimist that was going to assuage white peoples' fears and fix the recession and Iran hostage crisis.
Clinton was the cool charismatic new blood, the first baby boomer President.
Obama was the young tech savvy outsider (not really but that's what he said) and face of a changing America that was going to bring change from the disastrous Bush years and had maybe the best marketed campaign ever.
What's the point of a Hillary President? What's her grand vision? What's her strongest selling point? She can't even really run as an extension of Obama too well because she's an establishment person who predates him. The best person to run as a 3rd Obama term would be someone from his team who came up alongside him.
She just looks like a person who is deeply establishment and running just for the sake of being a career politician constantly seeking higher office.
She's still the favorite, but if she wins it will be because the GOP field is like the AFC in the 80's and 90's, or thr NBA eastern conference in the early 2000's.
