She's always right.... (About this stuff)I mean.....she's right.
But for the sake of her dem party, she's making shyt bad

No one advertises themselves as a socialist. Where are you even getting that? I would love an example.
And the split in the party is between progressives and the 'establishment'. There are no real 'establishment progressives', you're either one or the other.
She's wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. lol
Progressives who are anti-Capitalism do not understand political philosophy, and aren't Progressives. She's wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. lol
Generalizing an entire group isn't the way to go.Progressives who are anti-Capitalism do not understand political philosophy, and aren't Progressives.
Its just fact, breh.
It's not generalizing an entire group, it's working from historically agreed upon definitions. If you're doing some sort of post-modern, my-own-truth-is-the-only-truth-that-matters thing, then fine, but Liberalism is a definable philosophy. Progressive Liberalism builds on that philosophy....it doesn't reject it.Generalizing an entire group isn't the way to go.
I'm sure there are political philosophy professors who are also Progressive. lol
This is just academic labels that have barely any bearing on real world results. But do you.
And most regular citizens who vote could give a shyt. It's not generalizing an entire group, it's working from historically agreed upon definitions. And therein lies the problem, my friend. Being a Democratic Citizen comes with responsibility of knowing what you're talking about. And most regular citizens who vote could give a shyt.
There are plenty of Dems who are capitalist who still can win elections. See Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Barack Obama etc.And therein lies the problem, my friend. Being a Democratic Citizen comes with responsibility of knowing what you're talking about.
And once you understand what you're talking about, you'll realize that my original point that started this discussion holds true: the political left is comprised of two competing ideologies that will always weaken each other to the benefit of the right.
Case in point: many Americans on the left mistakenly think they're Socialist because it the stylish thing to be at the moment. This leads to them refusing to vote for the Democrat who acknowledges that shes a capitalist because Progressivism is capitalist.
And now we have the big orange idiot.
Sure there are, but it would be a hell of a lot easier for them to win if they didn't have to placate a delusional portion of their constituency who think Progressivism and Capitalism aren't one in the same, and completely turn off nearly half of the country in the process. There are plenty of Dems who are capitalist who still can win elections. See Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Barack Obama etc.
This is all academic rhetoricbarely anyone cares about.
Why does it need to be easy? That's a mentality that you have a right to votes instead of earning votes.Sure there are, but it would be a hell of a lot easier for them to win if they didn't have to placate a delusional portion of their constituency who think Progressivism and Capitalism aren't one in the same, and completely turn off nearly half of the country in the process.
If you're saying people who identify as Socialist more often than not aren't Socialist then we agree. Why does it need to be easy? That's a mentality that you have a right to votes instead of earning votes.
And like I said people may identify as Socialist for many reasons especially in a poll when they are asked broad questions. It doesn't even mean they are anti-capitalist. I bet if you polled people on more specifics like actual policies on various subjects you would get different results.
