Just finished the movie it's a 7/10, I would've given the movie a strong 8 or 8.5 but the final act of the movie brings the movie down.

Movie really show how many sacrifices you have to make to be on top of your profession

Just finished, I liked but can see why it would be disliked. The final act feels too rushed, they built everything up so good and then when the pay off comes they just zoomed through it. Gonna catch it again tomorrow.

I didn’t like how all of the villains save for Marlon, who technically isn’t a villain in my view were just a bunch of jokes. At least Effie should’ve been clever and not a buffoon.

Also, they didn’t give Marlon his moment for the audience to be like “yea, Isaiah is on some next level”

The cinematography was very well done. Can’t wait to see what scenes were deleted. Feels like it’s missing something to connect the first 2/3 to the finale. I guess a better way to put it is this doesn’t feel like a three act story, it felt like a four act story that’s missing its third act. But like I said, still a very enjoyable film. The theme about the self really spoke to me.

I want this to be good but reality is telling me otherwise. :francis:

Peele need to stop putting his name on shyt because he's gonna get the blame as he's the name people know...again. Like the 3rd time this had happened.
It's so funny to me that Peele is known just for 1 good movie

Dude is a 1 hit wonder as a director/producer lol :mjlol:

Heard this was a waste of “serious marlon wayans” due to being weird af and another peele “arts fartsy” cinema project. Wanted to check it out but after all the negative reviews I think I’ll wait for streaming. I’m too busy these days to waste a night out on a bul shyt movie honestly.

I don't mean it in a bad way (I definitely enjoyed the movie) but it's not something you should rush out to go see.

The movie is produced by Jordan Peele, Justin Tipping directed it.....As far as Marlon Wayans goes he did great in the movie although there were some brief moments in the movie where you can definitely tell he adlib a few lines in the movie because it's impossible for him to shut down the comedic side of himself.

The cinematographer is a sister too, she did her thing.
Just saw it. I say 8/10. The acting was good. The message/meaning at the end is very open to interpretation.

Marlon plays a believable villain. Wish they fleshed out his story some more than they did.
Very open to interpretation. What I thought was the final state of Cam’s character at the end right now is completely different than when I initially finished the movie.
