Just came from seeing this and i get what your trying to say. My first reaction is disappointment cause for whatever reason this film doesnt feel
Complete and its less than 2 hours. Maybe the studios or perhaps the NFL lawyers prevent them from showing it in a negative light. Marlon did a good job and so did Tyriq but the mansion being the only setting made it bland and then nothing else came off as scary just weird.

Plus i didnt like the ending because there wouldve been a line of potential players who would sign up to be the GOAT and nothing indicated that it could only be him so all of antics seemed pointless if he still had a choice in the end.

Yes it did, they explained in the movie he was handpicked. Therefore no line of cats banging at the door.


Movie is dope in my opinion, Peele hasn't been involved with anything weak yet

Fair enough.

I watched What Lies Beneath for the first time this weekend and started thinking about Scary Movie 2 after the, "I think she's starting to suspect something" scene happened.

A fukkin mess. Story was nonsense. Couldn’t tell what was part of the actual plot and what was just symbolism

Man... I wanted it to be good, but those trailers was so obvious that this was just gonna some 2nd rate art house horror film.

Needed to be a grounded A24 flick that slowly unravels into psychedelic horror like black Swan.

The script and direction was just shyt.

There's a good 40 mins or so in this.

And a bad 45 or so mins.

And probably needed 20 more mins of shyt in between to stitch it all together.

Not a bad idea for a movie, but they fumbled the execution big time
