It's crazy that Atmosphere has basically been making Macklemore type music for a decade yet only did 23k. Sure they're independent and caking but still, they have plenty of "catchy" songs that go nowhere while Macklemore dominates the charts lol.

Atmosphere has never made anything remotely as catchy as thrift shop or cant hold us. But macklemore is just atmosphere with pop hooks.

According to hitsdailydouble ross sold 6,276 albums this week (#43 on bb albums chart).

So he would now be at 334,000 in the usa

Man...if you missed your shot in the mid to late 90's when damn near every hiphop artist was pushing a mill easy...

I just feel like hiphop and black music in general has just become a parody of itself.

Pharrells album has legs.

Rick ross wont make it to 400,000.

Pharrell's singles will carry that album to gold and beyond, especially if Miley is in the "Come Get It Bae" video, whenever that drops

Atmosphere did great. That's all fanbase and I don't even think they started touring yet. Freddie Gibbs and Madlib didn't see that first week and had 200% more hype.


Congrats to Tech Nine. I'm not a fan but I can respect the hustle. Gaurantee u Iggy is either nominated or takes home a Grammy in the HipHop category.

I always felt crooked and horseshoe gang should sign to strange. Especially horse shoe gang. Tech fans would definitely love them when their on their rapid fire flow.

But, story of crooks career, wasted oppurtunity. You know damn well tech would sign them too. Bet hes offered it as well.

He signed Jay Rock, Murs, and Brotha Lynch...why wouldn't he have gone with Crooked I? You could argue that he had more visibility than those three.

I felt like the Horse Shoe Gang got shoved to the side once the whole 'Slaughterhouse' thing took off and that was a shame. Have they put out anything new recently? I haven't heard much since that Crooked I/Skee tape Young Boss or whatever it was called.
