Hip hop seem to be the main genre of dudes bragging about what they got. What I don't understand is why we support that? These dudes basically bragging to the people who made them rich.
Now I wont say I don't listen to/jam the shyt BUT im wondering WHY this is acceptable?

But again, you are acting like i disagreed with you. I said "main, yes. But not the only one" For example the current Haitian president, Michel Martelly. Ask anyone what he was mainly known for when he was an artist.

The problem in hiphop is that the ones where people are talking sh!t and celebrating violence and lawlessness are the ones that are most likely to become hits. That has more to do with the core audience and culture in the USA (gun friendly and flashy) than it does with the music itself.

When it was done in the early days it was humorous and had wit about it when rappers would compare themselves to other rappers. Now I can't listen to some a$$hole talking about some life that's far away from mine. Plus it's repeated ad nauseum and gets boring. Whips, jewelry, girls, oh fukk off.
