They couldn't get away with making street songs, so they coined their underground movement as 'Real' Hip Hop
Music had no soul. I remember early to mid 2000s white producers getting their Soudclick pages clowned on the Rap Music forums. They had those gothic beats that sounded like a Castlevania soundtrack
