Been saying this everyday for like three months, I'm glad I wasn't the only person who thought this way.

I've been listening to Pac and Amerikkka's most wanted like it's new because no one else is really capturing this moment for black people...in the tone that's needed anyway.

You can't look for a "young ice cube" in a generation that is dealing with some different problems in different ways. The "next 2pac" isn't going to be/sound like 2pac. That person's tone, approach will have to reflect the time period that he/she steps in to fill that void or rather reinsert that type of energy back into mass consciousness.

Ice Cube proved to be a sham. fukk Ice Cube.

But you morons refuse "young Ice Cube's" left and right. Saigon tried. Killer Mike i think spent a year even referring to himself as some variation of Ice Cube, even recording a pity duet with Flab'Shea but it took a Ginger from Company Flow for him to gain traction beyond the high brow chitlin circuit.

Hip Hop could REALLY use a cleansing of all cornballs. That's really what hip hop could use.

honestly i dont see any rappers able to speak to this moment. a lot of people got jacked off that killer mike speech in st louis but he made a huge error that makes me discount him and almost put him in the smart/dumb nikka category.

black people havebeen sold out at every opportunity in american progress. from the new deal to obama care. racism is at the hart of this thing. buy these young radical nikkaz think its just class. killer mike is very passionate and articulate. but any nikka that get up there and dont call out racism from whites at every level, liberal or whatever is suspect to me.

only celebrity who i have seen consistently body this shyt is jesse williams. sharp as fukk. eloquent. unflynchable. not tryna appease white people, liberal or conservative. if we had an mc on that level.

Right now, Cole and Lamar are our biggest hope. They aren't really aggressive but they're conscious, relevant and aren't afraid to speak their mind. No one else out right now that's popping is worried about social issues.

Ice Cube addressed racism better than anyone not named Chuck D. I bet you gonna call Chuck D a sellout too. :mjpls:
