Notice how they skip generations to big up trash like Cole and Kendrick (Cole is Nas, Kendrick is Pac/3000.... despite them being several generations apart), but keep Future within his generation (Lil Wayne, which is accurate)? It's deliberate marketing.

Nevermind that Cole is this generations Kanye/Jurassic 5 and Kendrick is this generations Lupe/Wayne. Saying that makes far more sense, but we know Kanye/urassic 5/Lupe/Wayne are trash so it doesn't sound as cool.

I wouldn't say NAS, but he's alot more like Common ( nothing wrong with that). Comparing these new rappers to these old rappers is very difficult to do.

Drake doesn't have a" reasonable doubt" type album ( Don't even bring up so far gone)

Future is no where as lyrical as Wayne is

Except common has multiple certified classics, Cole has zero

Cole is what ? 8 years in and doesn't even have a classic verse nevermind a classic song or project.

I NEVER understood the Nas comparisons. He doesn't rap like Nas. His career didn't start off like Nas'. Doesn't even rap about the same shyt Nas does. And that's not even factoring in classic albums n shyt like that. If he came out when Nas came out. He wouldn't be compared to Nas in the slightest. shyt. There's plenty of rappers from the 90s doper than Cole that wasn't compared to Nas. nikkas need to chill. And I'm one of the first people on here that defends Cole.
