It was a Big Sean leak. We were still waiting on a damn Jay Electronica album.
Most rappers were in their feelings. A few actually dropped responses. Jay Electronica was mad ppl forgot about his verse.

It had the internet in a frenzy because it came out of nowhere, a lot of rappers were offended that they weren't named on his verse & decided to do a response on the beat.
Atleast 10+ rappers jumped on that beat.

Set the internet on fire and probably got more rappers collectively mad than any verse in recent memory. People focus on the name drops but the Kurupt line about juggling the east and west coast got more people mad, due to NY.

but that shyt was crazy. im not sure what lead up to it tho. just kendrick feeling like couldnt novody fukk with him at that point. and tbh he was kind right. I think maybe he felt like nobody was putting time&effort into the craft
